59-festival // Saturday

Kick off the semester with three days full of music. The 59-Festival is finally back, hosted on the stage: Vuelie. Don't miss out on energetic concerts and a wide variety of music!

Time Saturday 11. JANUARY
21:59 Funcore
22:59 Annveig Gravdal
23:59 Petter Blom

Funcore

With roots in the Jazz Program in Trondheim, Funcore performs original music written by Skage Larsen, heavily influenced by today’s West Coast scene and 70s jazz-funk. The music draws great inspiration from the jazz-funk band Butcher Brown. After meticulous rehearsals and the co-creation of a unified sound, the band is now ready to share their music with the audience. Funcore will debut brand-new music for the audience at Dølajazz 2024.

Accompanied by catchy riffs, "tasty" sax solos, and driving drum grooves, Funcore delivers groovy beats and captivating melodies.

Expect a concert experience full of good vibes!

Amund Totland – guitar
Mads Lundh Kristiansen – saxophone
Einar Norberg – keys
Tarald Kongshaug – bass
Skage Larsen – drums and compositions

Annveig Gravdal

Annveig is an artist and songwriter who masters the art of balancing contrasts.
With a playful and humorous tone, she brings serious themes to life through ironic twists and a sharp look at youth’s eternal questions: Who am I, and what will I become?

Annveig is a unique voice in today’s music scene, an artist who dares to be both gutsy and delicate, raw and vulnerable. Her songs offer honest insights while carrying a rebellious energy that’s truly infectious.

Petter Blom

"Unboxed" is the debut album from the promising Oslo-based artist and multi-instrumentalist, released on November 1, 2024. He blends jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul in a way that creates a truly unique sound.

"Unboxed" features an exciting mix of vocal tracks and instrumental pieces, with Blom collaborating with a variety of singers, rappers, and instrumentalists.
