Honningbarna has been described as the country's best live band and recently released what is already being called one of the best albums of the year. This fall, they’re finally heading out on a Norwegian tour.

The band from Southern Norway has been one of Scandinavia’s most influential for years, a position that has been both cemented and elevated to new heights through their releases and concerts in recent years.

In 2022, Honningbarna released the album Animorphs, which received unanimous praise from the nation’s critics, with descriptions such as “a masterpiece” and “one of the best punk albums ever made in Norway.” The release also earned them both a Spellemann Award and the Edvard Prize.

This year, they followed up with their seventh album, Soft Spot, which has received even higher ratings from critics and feedback from listeners than the triumphant reception of their previous release. “One of the year’s best albums,” “sparkling,” “their best work to date,” and “the quality is absolutely mind-blowing” are just a few selected descriptions from reviewers.

Alongside their continuous exploration and development of their sound in the studio, a steadily growing audience has found its way to Honningbarna’s true home turf — their live shows.

Through chaotic and unpredictable concerts, with an unwavering focus on the moment and the connection with the audience, the band has gained a unique status as a live act — and has repeatedly been named the best in the country. This has resulted in the “Live Act of the Year” award from P3 Gull, a string of sold-out venues during previous tours, and euphoric reviews. As one critic from Bergens Tidende put it: “this is the best concert I’ve ever been to in my life,” while Gaffa crowned the band as “the kings of Norway.”

Honningbarna’s first concerts with their new music were played to sold-out venues in Sweden and Denmark.
This fall, it’s Norway’s turn, as they embark on their first club tour in the country in three years.
