The Sound of 115 Years with Studentersamfundet's Symphony Orchestra
Studentersamfundet's Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 115th anniversary, and it’s time to celebrate! Join us for a memorable anniversary concert where we’ll perform everything from classical masterpieces to iconic film music favorites!
For 115 years, Studentersamfundet's Symphony Orchestra has filled Trondheim with music, and now we invite you to a grand anniversary concert! We are celebrating with a varied program ranging from classical gems to the most magical moments of film music. Experience the energy of Svendsen's Fest-Polonaise, the playful waltz from Maskerade, Grieg's atmospheric Våren, and let yourself be swept away by the film music from Flåklypa, The Da Vinci Code, Champagne Gallop, and How to Train Your Dragon.
This concert is a tribute to the music that has accompanied us through generations – from black-and-white to a vibrant anniversary! Whether you are a loyal audience member or a first-time listener, we promise an unforgettable evening filled with symphonic magic.
Studentersamfundet's Symphony Orchestra, also known as Symforch, was founded in 1910 and is one of the country's largest and oldest student orchestras. The orchestra is part of the Studentersamfundet Orchestra, also known as Musikerlåfte. Every Tuesday, around 80 musical students gather in Skala to rehearse under the direction of conductor Espen Andersen.
