Lars Monsen prelude
Want to be 100% ready for the Wilderness Lecture in the Great Hall? Come to Edgar where there will be a display of Canada Coast to Coast
8252 kilometers. 947 days. Extreme temperatures and wild animals. Lars Monsen was given the perfect challenge in one of the most desolate wilderness areas on the planet.
Canada from coast to coast is the nature and travel series that follows Monsen on his journey across Canada from coast to coast. The journey was about 8000 kilometers and the trip took him almost three years. The start was from Kaktovik on Barter Island in Alaska. The end point of the journey was Goose Bay on the Labrador Peninsula near Newfoundland.
Events at the Student Society can be adapted for visitors with movement and hearing impairment. See here for more information.
