The Pilots // 23:59
The Pilots is a band consisting of three Bergen natives with hearts of gold and voices of silver. Their music is a combination of Britpop, the upbeat sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, and indie rock. Most of their music is self-written, with a few covers here and there.
The Pilots is a fresh indie rock band consisting of Bergen native Kristoffer “Kiffen” Ness (guitar and vocals), Ivar Bergsaker Lindberg (bass, keys and vocals), and August Søreide (drums and vocals). With one foot firmly planted in the ’60s and ’70s, the other in the golden age of Britpop, and their heads somewhere in the present, they create guitar-driven music packed with big choruses, dirty guitars, and lyrics about good lies, painful truths, and everything in between.
The band was formed in the autumn of 2025, but its members have been playing together for years. Their debut single, Wasting Time, was released in May and is the first of four songs that will make up the band’s debut EP. Despite the members being spread between Trondheim and Oslo, they refuse to let geography get in the way of their ambitions. The goal is simple: to write songs that deserve to be played far too loud, and to help make guitar bands dangerously popular again.
