Friendship concert
Friendship concert with Studentersamfundets symphony orchestra and Orchester Klangwelle Wien
Studentersamfundets symphony orchestra warmly invites you to a concert celebrating friendship! We are delighted to welcome our sister orchestra, Orchester Klangwelle Wien, and together we will offer a varied and beautiful repertoare.
Studentersamfundets symphony orchestra opens the concert with a selection of gems from popular culture, before performing a very special premiere: Melodi fra en annen tid (Melody from a different time), a newly composed work by our very own concertmaster, Elise Evensen. Drawing on elements from both the medieval and from video game-music, the piece transports the listener into another, magical world.
After the interval, Orchester Klangwelle Wien takes over with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 8. With its playful lightness and warmth, the symphony offers one final musical breath of summer before autumn sets in.
Studentersamfundets symphony orcehstra will be conducted by Espen Andersen and Markus Rohregger. The conductor of Klangwelle is Ángela Valera-Casanova.
There will be an interval during the concert.
The concert is free, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot!!
