Better a *strindt* in the hand than ten on the roof.

This may be due to the fact that the volume of noise produced by a gathering of Strindt members increases hyperexponentially with their numbers (a rate also found to rise in tandem with blood alcohol levels, the proportion of reggae rhythms in circulation, and sugar intake). This increase is sufficient to counteract the noise reduction resulting from distance to the sound source—which drops by 6 dB for every doubling of distance. In other words: it is actually better for your ears to hold a single Strindt member right next to your head than to stand within 20 meters of the rest of the "wasp's nest."
