Trondhjems Studentersangforening

Trondhjems Studentersangforening (TSS) is the nation's second oldest male choir and the city's second oldest fraternity after Samfundet itself. Despite its age, TSS today consists of about 70 young men, who has a varied repertoire of songs which they sing with a high degree of panache.

This repertoire includes Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish drinking songs, folk songs and Monty Python songs, as well as larger sacred works and classic prunes. The latter is especially true when we put on our tuxedos and attend the opening of UKA. This very same work outfit is also used when TSS occupies Storsalen for artistic performances on Saturday meetings, or a few times each semester when we hold a concert at specially designated locations.

About every other year we may also go on tour in Norway or preferably abroad. TSS practices every week and we also like to gather every other week for social get togethers, often with our girlfriends in TKS.

Singing in a choir is generally speaking a hobby that combines honorable continuation of old traditions with a good social environment.
