Technical and social position regarding ha radio
Have you heard of ham radio? Are you interested in technology, or eager to learn something completely new? Does it sound exciting to get in touch with people all over the world? (Do you want to eat the best Norwegian waffles every Monday?) We want you to apply to Akademisk Radioklubb!
We are a club at the Studentersamfundet, by and for students interested in technology in general or want to take part in our hobby. No prior knowledge is required, and you’ll have the chance to learn all sorts of fascinating things. Among other opportunities, you can obtain a ham radio license and get your very own callsign.
We’re a social group with many different interests, working on both radio‑technical and non‑technical projects. Our club space includes both a workshop and a radio shack, and we own and maintain the antennas you may have seen on the roof of the Studentersamfundet. We also organize trips into the woods and mountains with portable radio equipment, board‑game nights, movie nights, Christmas tree party, and many other social activities throughout the year.
You can take part for one or multiple semesters.
We meet every Monday at 18:00 for shared updates and work sessions, we also work on various different projects on other weekdays and at different times throughout the semester. Being a member of ARK also includes doing a few shifts checking IDs at the 20‑year bars some Fridays/Saturdays.
We’d love to get to know you, and we hope to see you at an interview! Apply for ARK now<3
