This is an indication of how much work this job amounts to. A gjengmedlem is expected to work 10 hours a week, while a funksjonær is expected to work 20 hours a week. In comparison, funksjonærer have more benefictions than gjengmedlemmer.

Play the violin, accordion or other melodic instrument
All instruction and communication within the group will be done in Norwegian. It will not be a requirement that you speak Norwegian to apply, but it will be expected that you are willing to learn.
Snaustrinda Spelemannslag is Studentersamfundets folk group. We focus primarily on the Norwegian folk tradition, but have previously played music from a variety of cultures.
We have a weekly practice every thursday from 19-21, followed by a meeting and a hang-out. We also play dance gigs and concerts, both at Samfundet and for external hirers.
Snaustrinda is mostly comprised of violins and accordions, but we are open to most melodic instrument types.
If you are interested, we would like to invite you to open practice on the 13th and 20th of august. It is not necessary to attend the open practice to apply, but it would be very nice to get to know you at practice :)
