Lucid Dreaming is rooted in the 90s indie wave and big inspirations are Popface, My Bloody Valentine, The Cure and Fay Wildhagen!

Lucid Dreaming started as a Blink-182 cover band in 2017, but was quickly inspired by their mentors and role models in Popface. At Tasta Bydelshus, the band got a penchant for the mix of shoegaze, post-rock and indie-pop, but when a new guitarist announced his arrival in 2019, the band saw their opportunity to think new.
- I felt that we never got to use Thomas' songwriting talent before. Texts were not emphasized before. We had the most instrumental songs, and the goal was to play as high as possible, says drummer Espen Knutsen.
Now the soundscape is more balanced, and even though Lucid Dreaming operates with a fluid genre concept, they are drawn closer and closer to pop music!
