Substance Abuse, Rebellion, and the Cost of Freedom – You Don't Want to Miss the First Film Screening of the Semester!
We follow a group of junkies consuming every drug they can get their hands on. They openly admit that their lifestyle is far from relaxing—it’s a 'full-time job.' One of them decides to go straight, but it’s far from easy… They try to break free from the madness, but it doesn’t take long before they dive back in by choice. The film gives us a glimpse of how they manage to fund their expensive habits, while also finding time for love and casual drinking amidst all the drugs. The protagonist, Renton, emerges as a peculiar kind of hero—entirely devoid of morals and focused solely on his own pleasure. He also has a unique perspective on society, to say the least, filled with controversial opinions.
