RÜ // Jazzmass // 23:59
RÜ delivers raw, honest, and boundary-pushing R&B with a unique raspy voice and an attitude you can’t ignore. Inspired by jazz, hip-hop, and new age R&B, she creates music that hits both the heart and the mind. Expect strong lyrics, heavy beats, and an energetic stage show you won’t soon forget.
RÜ (Ruth Victoria Rømyhr) is a 22-year-old artist and songwriter who’s leaving her unique mark on Norwegian music. With a raw, raspy voice—a result of a throat surgery she underwent as a child—and a one-of-a-kind blend of R&B, jazz, and hip-hop, she creates music that both rips and moves.
In the fall of 2023, she dropped her critically acclaimed debut album La Petite Princesse, and she’s already made a name for herself on stages like Camp Øya, Oslo Pride, the National Museum, and the Wunderkammer Festival. In November, she opened for Sigrid in collaboration with NRK P3 Urørt, and 2024 kicked off with two sold-out shows at Trondheim Calling.
She broke through with ZENsations and followed up with A Feminist March, Clone Wars (with MonoNeon), and DOMe—songs that have made her a favorite on NRK Urørt. RÜ’s music is about more than just beats and vibes; she tackles important topics like identity, insecurity, and societal issues.
With her strong expression, energetic stage show, and unfiltered honesty, RÜ is an artist you won’t want to miss. This is the future of Norwegian R&B—get ready! 🚀🔥
You won’t want to miss this.
We look forward to hearing you!
