Join us for an exciting evening about the new building of the Student Society! Gain insight into the process behind the new building, from preserving Trondheim's historic cityscape to modern architecture. Three experts will share their perspectives.
Collaborative Event between the Student Council, The Trøndelag Division, Trondheim and Surrounding Area Local Group, and the Cultural Committee at the Student Society
Three Lectures with a Common Theme: The New Building of the Student Society
A representative from the Heritage Conservation Office will provide insight into the work of approving the plans for the new building and how they have balanced the need for development with the preservation of Trondheim's historical cityscape through additions to such an iconic building.
Iver Corneil from Eggen Architects will share experiences from the process of designing the new building. He will discuss how they worked with the architecture and the challenges they faced along the way in creating a building that is both functional and aesthetically integrated into its surroundings.
A historian or expert on the history of the Student Society will offer a historical perspective on the Student Society and how the new building fits into the society's development and its significance in Trondheim's student life.
Each lecture will last approximately 30 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions. There may also be a Q&A session at the end, where a panel will be set up. The event is open to everyone, including both students and others. The goal is to discuss the new building and learn more about it. Afterward, we would like to invite everyone to continue the conversation in Edgar.
All lectures will be in Norwegian!
