A Cultural Evening // Opening screening: Another Round (2020)

Inspired by the quote that “humans are born with a blood alcohol level of about negative 0.5,” four Danish high school teachers decide to conduct an experiment on themselves. Can their stable jobs and routine family lives be enlivened by maintaining a constant blood alcohol level of 0.5‰? Much like Hemingway’s alleged drinking habits, they restrict their alcohol intake to working hours. But what happens when both their professional and social performance only seem to improve as their blood alcohol level rises? Could there be room for even more — for where, exactly, does the happiness threshold lie?
