Hvitmalt Gjerde

After seven years on the sidelines, Hvitmalt Gjerde returned to the stage in summer 2025 with shows at Trevarefest and Dragefjellet mini‑festival.

Since they stopped playing together in 2018, each member has taken part in different projects, and a reunion was never a real consideration. Johannes has enjoyed his time with the band Fangst, Håvard has been active with Kropp, and Sturla has played drums for EGGE. The idea of a comeback only sparked after conversations with close friends who also organize the festivals mentioned above. Suddenly it made sense to play together again. After a few rehearsals the band became convinced a comeback was a good idea. It was as if time had stood still. The groove was better than ever.

They brought that good feeling from the rehearsal room to Henningsvær and Dragefjellet and delivered. The audience response was overwhelming. After the great experiences this summer, it wasn’t hard for the guys to decide to play a bit more in the autumn. They all agree that nothing beats playing a Hvitmalt Gjerde concert.

In autumn 2025 they played to sold‑out audiences in Bergen and Oslo, and on February 26th, 2026 they will come to Samfundet in Trondheim for a full evening of ramshackle magic. It will surely be a great night you won’t want to miss. Are you ready?
