Bastian! is a 21-year-old artist from Sandnes. GAFFA was quick to ask the question, “Are we witnessing the birth of a new Håkan Hellström in our own country right now, or what’s going on here?” In Stavanger Aftenblad, he has been described as a “supertalent!!!”.

In 2022, Bastian! was voted by both the public and a jury as the winner of the Mablis Grant, which led to performances at Folken, Mablis Festival, and BLÅ after only a handful of releases. Following a series of sold-out shows in the Oslo area throughout 2024, Bastian! was handpicked by TØFL as support for their sold-out New Year’s concert at Fiskepiren in Stavanger. With a direct sound nodding to the 80s, 2000s, and early 2010s, his spring shows at Checkpoint Charlie and Vaulen Open Air were met with full-throated sing-alongs—across every song on the setlist. The debut EP “Wake Up Norway!” was released in November 2025, and its single “Bro, eg elske damå di” has already been hailed as “a modern classic” by NRK P1 Rogaland.
