Pumpegris is a folk-fusion band that playfully mixes the old and new, the humorous and serious. Heavily inspired by Norwegian folk music, west African music, shoegaze and the singer songwriter genre they make pop music. They focus on groove, Norwegian traditional dance tunes and witty yet bittersweet lyrics.
Fritids is their debut album, released 28. Feb 2025. It got glowing reviews by newspapers and music publications. Half a year later they got the prestigious award Shooting star of the year by By:Larm festival. The album was produced by Tuva Syvertsen and released by Talik Records.
