BÆNCH // 23.59
BÆNCH is a young Danish rock band exploring an atmospheric and dynamic rock sound with international potential. Dark guitar elements, expressive synth textures, and a melodic, yearning vocal create a grand, raw, and authentic sound that fills a void on the Danish music scene.
The band released their debut EP “GO GO GO” on April 11. It features six tracks, five of which have been in radio rotation on P6. In addition, BÆNCH has received airplay on P3, Uniradioen, as well as internationally on Amazing Radio in New York and London, and on BBC1. On “GO GO GO”, the band moves through different corners of their musical universe — from massive bursts of energy that hit the listener like a punch to the face, to more sonic, introspective, and contemplative moments. Danish music media and several international blogs point to BÆNCH as a rock act to keep an eye on.
In connection with the EP release, BÆNCH embarked on an autumn tour with several sold-out shows, taking them across Denmark, Germany, Norway, and the UK, performing at 10 venues. It is especially live that the band shows its strength, and their concerts have been praised by both reviewers and music media. This was demonstrated at Roskilde Festival, where GAFFA awarded them 5 stars; at SPOT Festival, where Soundvenue highlighted BÆNCH as one of the absolute highlights; and at the Norwegian festival by:Larm, where GAFFA Norway also gave them 5 stars.
BÆNCH consists of Frederik Rasmussen (vocals, guitar), Emil Harboe (drums), Thea Hamborg (keys, synth, bass, vocals), and Alfred Leisgaard (guitar, bass, synth).
