Self-regulation in a dysregulated world – Lecture with Lea Loncar
How to hold yourself - when the world is unstable? Stress, selfregulation and finding meaning in troubling times
We live in a time marked by unrest - both globally and existentially. Research on stress and self-regulation gives us important tools for understanding the body's signals and psychological resilience. At the same time traditions like buddhism, toltec tradition, vedic thinking and aboriginal worldviews point out that there is no one universal solution to unrest.
In this talk we explore how body, culture, meaning and self-understanding are interconnected - and why selfregulation is not about shielding yourself from the world, but restoring a relationship with it. A thought provoking talk for those who want to understand how you can navigate crises with deeper understanding and strength.
Events at the Student Society can be adapted for visitors with movement and hearing impairment. See here for more information.
