Soldråper // 23.59
Soldråper is a band based in Kristiansand consisting of five young musicians from different parts of Norway. The band creates a distinctive sound in the pop landscape, blending elements of jazz, rock, and singer-songwriter traditions. With lyrics written in dialect, they aim to convey both the intimate and vulnerable sides of human experience, exploring themes such as growing up, love, and relationships — both the good and the difficult.
Since their formation in 2023, the band has performed extensively, including at the 2830 Festival as the opening act for Hellbillies, at Kongsberg Jazz Festival, and in the concert series BOXEN — all before releasing any music.
At the beginning of 2025, they changed that by releasing their debut EP “Soldråper”, produced by Bjørn Ole Rasch at Kongshavn Studio. The EP has now reached approximately 270,000 streams and has generated significant attention around the band. As the icing on the cake, they were also personally nominated for the Sør Music Prize 2025 by Rasch himself.
