Breakfast meeting: What do Gore-Tex, Teflon, and fire extinguishers have in common?
They all contain PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) — often referred to as “forever chemicals.” These substances have attracted growing media attention in recent years. But should we really be concerned? And if so, what can we do to reduce our exposure?
Join our breakfast meeting to learn more about PFAS, the everyday products that contain them, their environmental and health impacts, and the current efforts in Europe to strengthen regulations on these chemicals.
Events at the Student Society can be adapted for visitors with movement and hearing impairment. See here for more information.
