P. A. LARSEN The P. A. Larsen wine company was one of the first – and definitely the largest – companies to sell wine and spirits in Norway before the establishment of the Wine Monopoly on November 30, 1922. The company was known as a provider of quality wine from the top wine regions of the time, such as Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. It was also the first company to go down to the wine districts and trade directly with the castles, instead of going through German intermediaries, which was the standard in the latter part of the 19th century.
