MÆD // 23:59
The trio MÆD is known for pushing the boundaries of art and music in the name of rock. By incorporating artists into every part of the music production process, each song is created as a new art project. For every track, video art, visual artworks, and projection art are produced for use in concerts and in the distribution of the music. It is easy to hear that MÆD has many layers of artistic elements that shape the songs and make them uniquely distinctive.
On stage, MÆD has been described as an unstoppable train, with lightning-tight performances, sharp turns, and atmospheric passages. The trio delivers all of this without the use of backing tracks, which often shape the sound many associate with “arena rock.” Clearly inspired by the heavy and hard rock of the 1980s, they incorporate elements of prog rock and modern rock. Their artistic collaborations shine through in the music’s narrative voice, helping make every concert a new way to experience real rock.
