Astrid Lindgren’s Ronja Røverdatter (Ronja Rövardotter) // Premiere

Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter, is born into a feud between two rival bands of robbers, separated by a deep and terrifying chasm. When Ronja meets Birk, who is supposed to be her bitter enemy, can the two of them break free from old patterns? And if so, at what cost?

NB: This play is performed in Norwegian

On the night Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter, is born, lightning strikes Mattis Castle, splitting it in two. Little do the Mattis Robbers know that their bitter enemies, the Borka Robbers, welcomed a baby boy on that very same fateful night. The divide between the two clans is like the chasm running through the castle – dangerous and deep. But as the two children grow up and get to know each other, can they break free from old patterns? And if so, at what cost?

Who is the play suitable for?
Our largest audience is made up of students, but older children and teenagers may also enjoy the performance – though it can be scary at times! The play is best suited for audiences aged 10 and above.
