Day of the Jackalope har holdt til på øvingslokalet i over 5 år i ulike besetninger, men ble først en komplett enhet våren 2015. I mai spilte de inn sin første EP, «Day of the Jackalope EP» som byr på skitten groovy rock med klare blues-referanser og innspill av psykedelia. Referansene kan trekkes til band som Led Zeppelin, Clutch og Leaf Hound.
Den selvtitulerte EPen ble sluppet 29. januar på plateselskapet Heksekunst og inneholder 5 spor som definitivt vil få rockeskjegget (eller den silkemyke haka) til å gynge.
