ISFiT presents: Biru Baby

From the cold, hard tundra of Sápmi, in the Barents region of Norway, comes the revolutionary band crew Biru Baby, with their bizarrely unique style and sound. The band echoes the ancient call of the Sami people - an indigenous group of the Barents region - mixed with the next level music of modern civilization, into what has been described as “baffling”, “brilliantly unique”, and “Baby Metal on acid”.

The main members of Biru Baby are the sami girls Iki and Hánná, who are occasionally joined by artists such as Hell-G and KT (In Da House) as well as a band crew for their live shows.

A few mind-blowing performances in Norway in 2015 and 2016 has put the band on everybody’s lips. At the Norwegian festival Trondheim Calling, Biru Baby was named the most eccentric performance, and the overall “winners” of the festival by various music magazines.

The Trondheim band "Venner" has over the past year appearedon many small and large stages in and around Trondheim. Maybe you remember them as one of the bands who where chosen to honor "The Aller Værste" at Byscenen? Or from the sold-out album release concert at Sukkerhuset, or when they exited "Ladehammerslaget" as victors?

The intense and mystical concert experiences of Venner has aldri been talked about around Trondheim. Last fall the world heard the popular song "Naboen" and during the spring of 2017 they will release two new singles before leaving for a tour of Norway.
