MÍO // Knaus 23:59
MÍO have been recognized in the Norwegian underground scene for their energetic and entrancing live shows, with a front vocalist that seizes the listener and refuses to let go. MÍO is a breath of fresh air in the folk rock universe, one of Norway’s most exciting and unique up-and-coming bands.
Their music is catchy and hard
hitting, while they keep a balance between their dynamic and sensitive sides. A rich inspiration from Norwegian folk music, 70s prog and Norwegian rock and punk gives. MÍO the basis to experiment with genre
blending. A fuzzed up fiddle is combined with a large arsenal of folk instruments, a jazz inspired rhythm section, groovy bass and distorted guitar. MÍO is based in Oslo, Norway and consists of six musicians with varying backgrounds and influences. The band was founded by vocalist Dionisia Fjelldalen and bassist Marianne Friisberg Larssen in 2019. Their first release was their EP "MÍO" that came out in 2020. The band is releasing their debut album "Ingen tid å miste" in 2023.
