Attend whether you wish to run for election yourself, or if you want to vote for the next leader of Norway’s largest cultural festival, UKA!

The role of UKEsjef (Head of UKA) is one of the most significant positions in the student community. It offers a unique opportunity to shape an organization that many students in Trondheim have a strong connection to. The position is filled with exciting challenges, dedicated people, and the chance to truly create something great. UKA grows as you grow into the role of UKEsjef, and you are given more than 1.5 years to plan the festival. No prior experience is required—only commitment and time. If you have strong ideas for how UKA-27 can become the best UKA ever, run for UKEsjef and become the person who lays the foundation for the fifty-fourth edition of UKA!

Everyone with a valid membership at Samfundet is eligible to vote. Remember to bring a valid membership card, as this is required to cast your vote. The election will be livestreamed on Samfundet’s YouTube channel; however, it will not be possible to ask the candidates questions or to vote unless you are physically present in Storsalen.

How to run as a candidate

If you are considering running as a candidate, or if you know someone who should be encouraged to do so, please contact the UKEsjef for UKA-25, Selma Lindseth Lindeman. She is happy to have an informal conversation if you would like to learn more about the position or simply talk things through.

To register your candidacy, you can send an email to the Samfundet Board (styret@samfundet.no
), or to nominate yourself as a candidate in Storsalen at the Samfundet meetings (Samfundsmøter) leading up to, or on, election day.
