Dalai Lama - A Better Future without Corruption

[STUDENT ENTRANCE ONLY, NO BAGS OR BACKPACKS ALLOWED. THE EVENT IS FREE FOR ISFiT PARTICIPANTS]

ISFiT proudly presents the Dalai Lama to talk about corruption and a better future.
The president of ISFiT, Marius Jones, will introducie the meeting, followed by a dialogue between the host, Fredrik Græsvik, and the Dalai Lama on the theme corruption. The aim will be to unveil the Dalai Lama’s thoughts on how the world’s students can promote anti-corruption, and how transparency and dialogue can be important in this endeavour.

In what ways do human rights and human dignity connect to corruption? Why are we corrupt? How can anti-corruption create a better future for young people in the world? How is corruption a barrier for this very vision? And how can students be part of the solution? These questions and more, will be looked into at the meeting where Fredrik Græsvik and the Dalai Lama meet at the stage in Clarion Hotell & Congress.

The second part of the meeting will be a dialogue between the Dalai Lama and the audience: participants from the different workshops, which are the core of ISFiT, have prepared questions for the Dalai Lama. Fredrik Græsvik will be following up on the questions, and explore the implication of the answers.

Practical Information

  1. The entrance for the event is the Congress Entrance at Clarion Hotel. NOT the hotel entrance.

  2. The doors open at 11.30, and we expect quite a lot of queuing. The doors close at 13.00, and therefore it is very important for everyone to be there on time, or even a bit early.

  3. Everyone with a ticket must present a valid student ID! The ticket is not valid without student ID.

  4. Bags, backpacks, bottles and cameras are not allowed.

  5. There is a wardrobe in which everyone must hang their jackets.

Events at the Student Society can be adapted for visitors with movement and hearing impairment. See here for more information.
