Planning and participation in the Peace Tour, the Student Peace Prize 2027!

Are you an engaged and creative person with a passion for peace, democracy, and human rights? Then you might be the ideal candidate to join the Peace Tour!
As a Peace Tour Coordinator, you will help follow up, support, and highlight the winner of the Student Peace Prize 2027.

The Student Peace Prize (SPP) is awarded biannualy during the ISFiT festival to a student or student organization that has distinguished itself in working for peace, freedom, human rights, and democracy. The goal of the prize is to showcase the winners' work and create a platform for even greater impact in the future, whilst generating national and international attention and recognition of students' role as a driving force for change.

In November, the next winner of the this prize will be announced, and they will have the opportunity to go on an exciting peace tour around several cities in Norway to share their inspiring work. As a Peace Tour Coordinator, you will be a member of the winner project team, which handles the follow-up of the laureate and the processes leading up to the award presentation, including the peace tour.
You will have a high degree of freedom, work closely with the laureate and international organizations, and have the opportunity to help shape a political advocacy campaign that will engage people both nationally and internationally.
Through this role, you will gain valuable experience in project management, international cooperation, and human rights work. You will become part of an engaged and social community through ISFiT and the Student Peace Prize, gaining insight into how the organization works with peace and student activism on an international level.
The role also involves travel opportunities, giving you a unique experience of how the Student Peace Prize conveys peace work in practice.

Your Main Tasks

  • Develop and work on the winner project and the follow-up of the laureate.
  • Plan and participate in the peace tour prior to ISFiT, where the laureate travels around Norway to meet students, organizations, and the media.
  • Participate in planning the announcement, ceremony, and logistics surrounding the laureate's visit.

Previous experience in similar work is not required—the most important thing is that you have motivation, initiative, and the ability to make things happen.

Send a short application explaining why you want to help communicate the Student Peace Prize 2027!
