Deputy Head of Admin

Job as Gjengmedlem
This is an indication of how much work this job amounts to. A gjengmedlem is expected to work 10 hours a week, while a funksjonær is expected to work 20 hours a week. In comparison, funksjonærer have more benefictions than gjengmedlemmer.

Do you want to help make things happen behind the scenes of the SPP?

As the Deputy Head of Administration, you will be a key part of the team that keeps things running smoothly, supports projects, and helps ensure that the work surrounding the Student Peace Prize moves forward.
You will work closely with the Head of Administration and gain insight into the entire section — from finances and funding applications to strategy and organizational work. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to contribute with your own ideas and initiatives.
The administration team also has space to develop its own projects on behalf of the Student Peace Prize — such as coffee campaigns, art exhibitions, or other outreach initiatives. Have an idea? This is a place where you can actually make it happen.
In this role, you will gain experience with organizational work, collaboration across teams, and supporting volunteers. You will also become part of a social and engaged environment within ISFiT and the Student Peace Prize — a community where people learn, build experience, and grow together.
The role may also include opportunities to travel in connection to the Peace Prize Tour, giving you a unique insight into how the Student Peace Prize is promoted internationally.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting the Head of Administration in work related to finances, funding, and organizational tasks

Assisting in coordinating funding applications, budgets, and reporting together with the project teams

Helping maintain systems for documentation, archiving, and organizational overview

Contributing to work on long-term funding for the Student Peace Prize

Following up volunteers in the administration team and helping create a positive working environment

Contributing to maintaining and developing relationships with former laureates and SPP alumni

You do not need prior experience in finance or administration — the most important thing is that you are curious, structured, and motivated to learn.
Send a short application and tell us why you would like to help share the message of the Student Peace Prize 2027!
I am available by email or phone if you have any questions or would like to talk more about the position. I would also be happy to meet for a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate for an informal chat about the role and the Student Peace Prize. Looking forward to hearing from you! <3
